This is by far the biggest thing I've attempted. 200+ hours over 8 months, 146 layers... were it not for

's incessant nagging I probably wouldn't have finished this at all

In all honesty though, most of the time spent on this piece was spent failing >.<
I really need to go back to basics and learn anatomy and perspective.

Also: I hate painting gold trim. Why do imperials wear so much damn gold trim?!

Fantastic rendering mate, Im a nazi to my own work in trying to get better, so I understand completely your pain with the gold trim... however, you nailed it and it looks mint! fantastic work mate.
